Alicia Witt, a singer, songwriter and pianist, is most well-known as an actress. However, she has played music from the moment she first appeared on the screen. She is a pianist by trade, she first released an EP in the year 2009, featuring her vocals that were strong and beautiful. Revisionary History was her first studio album. The album was co-produced by Ben Folds. She followed it with releases such as 2021's The Conduit, which marked her first time as a co-producer. Her first appearance on the screen was in 1984, when she appeared as Alia Atreides for David Lynch's Dune adaptation. It's not surprising that, at just ten, she was pigeonholed into being an actress despite having been playing piano as long as acting. Although she was onscreen more, her career as a musician did not begin until 1995.
